Sport Relief does 'We are the Champions'
It’s back! The cult children’s TV show from the 70s and 80s returns for a special Sport Relief series.
Remember the theme song, those pool games and the late Ron Pickering’s legendary words “Away You Go”?
We Are the Champions has been updated for the 21st century and looks set to get a new army of fans – adults and kids alike.
Hosted by Paddy McGuinness (Max and Paddy, Phoenix Nights), schools will be competing in amazing assault courses in a bid to get through to the final and become the ultimate winners.
The teams will be championed by sporting icons, helping them to compete in the action, and, as always, be eager to jump in the pool at the end of each show!
Dame Kelly is heading one of the teams, and the show will begin on Monday 8th of March 2010 on CBBC at 16.30
It will then be repeated from Monday 15th March for 5 days on BBC 1 at 16.05.
