Dame Kelly on TV

BingoLotto Launch on Virgin 1 Sunday 13th Sept 7pm

Dame Kelly joins stars for BingoLotto Launch.

Dame Kelly has been invited to join Olympic Gold Medallist Tessa Sanderson and top soul diva Beverly Knight for the launch of a new TV Game to benefit grassroots sport and recreation.

The programme, which will be broadcast on Sunday evening at 7pm gives people a chance to play a game of BingoLotto and at the same time help raise funds to support sport at a local level through the sale of BingoLotto Game Cards. Each Gamecard costs £2 and will raise 40 pence for good causes. The TV game, hosted by Ulrika Jonsson, will air weekly on Virgin 1 every Sunday evening starting on 13 September.

As an advocate of sport at every level, and as the chair of a charity working with young people in sport at a local level, Dame Kelly was delighted to be invited to join in the fun.

The BingoLotto TV game has run in Sweden since 1991 where it has raised just under £1bn for charities and sports organisations. At least 20% from each Gamecard sold in Great Britain will be distributed to sport, recreation and voluntary projects up and down the country through CCPR and the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Profits will be distributed to the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation through a ‘community interest company’ structure set up by CCPR, the umbrella body for these organisations.

The funding for sport and recreation will be spent on new and enhanced programmes of activity at grassroots level and also on special projects, such as infrastructure improvement and capacity building, for which funding is currently unavailable.
