Dame Kelly Holmes discussed why sport needs to be making the most of it’s sporting heroes in working with future generations.
Watched by nearly 800,000 viewers Dame Kelly highlighted how the 2012 Olympic Games need to leave a legacy for everyone and one good way of doing this is making the most of retiring sports people to put back into sport and inspire future generations of young people.
This will be the focus of the DKH Legacy Trust’s ‘Harnessing YOUR Talent’ Camp next week at Leeds Metropolitan University. The two day event will see retiring sports performers working with the best of the best in the world of sport and business harnessing their skills and experience to put back into sport and at the same time build a new post competition career.
