Just interested to see if anyone plays musical instruments in here? and also to find out who are everyone's favourite artists/bands?

I had guitar lessons for 7 years and also played the keyboard for 2 years... I still play them, just don't have any time for lessons.

As for favourite artists/bands ... at the moment i really like the kooks, the feeling, kelly clarkson, anastacia, gnarls barkley, greenday, robbie williams, rogue traders, basement jaxx, queen and black eyed peas

    How about everyone else?

I like all the music that makes my partner go "turn it off!!". Concerning playing, I can play the piano to a reasonable standard, can bang the drums to not such a high standard and pretend I can play the guitar:tongue:

Well i can play pots and pans! Does that count as a musical instrument???
My music varies depending on the mood i am in!
Some days its Techno Dance other days its sad deppresin music!
  2.
Afraid I can't play any instrument, except for the descant recorder.

When I was in my teens, I was heavily into modern jazz, folk and negro rythym and blues. I saw the Rolling Stones before they were discovered, when they played r & b. Brian Jones, the Stones founder, was the real power house behind the stones in the early days. He could play practically any instrument, and didn't like it when Jagger and Richards started to write commercial songs. It was tragic, when he drowned in his swimming pool, at the age of 27.

Now- a -days, I am more into heavy metal and sometimes opera.

I find "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf to be an exellent track, to get me in the mood for a hard training session.
