September update
I was totally shocked by the death of my first manager Andy Norman on the 24th. He ran British athletics at one stage and he worked with many big names – people such as Linford Christie, Steve Ovett, Jonathan Edwards, John Regis and Steve Backley. He played a big part in my career getting me into races and was instrumental in me going to train in South Africa, which is now like my second home. My thoughts are with Fatima and Ryan.
I’ve been really busy this past month…
The GirlsActive roadshows started on the 24th, and I will be doing 5 roadshows up to the 7th November. I hope to reach out to as many girls as possible during that time as I truly believe that sport and physical activities can change their lives for the best. I have spoken about my GirlsActive roadshows to 17 radio channels on Friday (28th)! Tomorrow I will be in Herefordshire and really looking forward to meeting the girls there.

I spoke at the first Young Ambassadors Conference of this year, which took place at Chelsea football club (I am an Arsenal fan!!), The Young Ambassadors is about enpowering young people to become leaders, role models and promoters of sport in this country.
I was also on the One Show on BBC1 in the evening with Barry Maguigan
I did a speech about the importance of sport and spoke about my own pathway from Playground to Parks to Podium at the Labour Party Conference fringe event on Wednesday 26th and was at the conservative Party Conference fringe event last night Sunday 30th.
