The conference, organised by SportBusiness, encourages network opportunities to discuss innovation of technologies in the market place and how these advancements are helping the sports sector.
The event showcases BT’s involvement in London 2012, so Dame Kelly was invited to attend and make a speech on how London won the 2012 bid and what it means, as well as highlighting the work of her charity DKH Legacy Trust. BT is first Corporate Sponsor of DKHLT’s ‘Backing Talent’ programme.
The format for the day was focussed around panel discussions and keynote addresses involving industry leaders. It highlighted how during these times of economic difficulties, it is even more important for businesses to maximise the benefits they can gain from effective technology strategies.
Topics for debate in insightful panel discussions included ‘Monetising sports content: Is gaming the holy grail for sports rights owners?’, ‘Access innovations, security and the wireless stadium’ and ‘Using technology to engage younger sports audiences.’
